Clinic – Integrative Riding Immersion

Would you like to truly understand how ground work integrates with your riding?  In this clinic Julie will share with you the two main purposes of ground work that she uses on a daily basis.  The first purpose is for safety in the saddle and the second is for bio-mechanical correctness in the horse’s movement.

For safety, you will learn exercises to help you see from the ground how your ride will go under saddle.  For bio-mechanical correctness, we will start with using the Classical Principles of the Training Pyramid: Rhythm, Relaxation, Connection, Impulsion, Straightness, and Self-Carriage.  You will learn exercises to build communication with your horse from the feet through the head and neck.  These are the tools you need to build true self-carriage in your horse.

Join Julie for this wonderful workshop to acquire more tools to use in the training of your horse.  Half of the time will be spent on the ground and half in the saddle.  It is helpful if you have a basic understanding of ground work and your horse can work around you in a circle and understands a basic yield of the hind quarter.

The clinic runs from 10am-4pm.

Overnight horse accommodations are $25 for the Immersion.

I did it! Ozzie and I published!

I did it!  I finally published the story of Ozzie, the horse that changed everything for me!  Ozzie was with me for more than 25 years and is the reason I study horsemanship!  Many of you have met Ozzie, who passed away a year ago.  But few of you know about our early days together.  Ozzie was a challenging horse with a big personality, and I was madly in love with him, even though he was not suitable for me at all.  He would push me and cause chaos wherever he went in his early days.  Thanks to him, I sought out help from a friend who lead me to the path of horsemanship!  And I have never looked back!
