The Seat Builder Clinic is a two hour rider’s workshop covering rein positions, seat position, and use of equipment. We will outline and practice the rider’s responsibilities to the horse: a balanced seat and clear, independent communication through the reins. Learn how groundwork translates directly into riding, and experience how it feels to take a walk in your horse’s bridle!

Who is it for?
Riders wishing for clarification on how groundwork relates to riding, or who would like a clear and simple explanation of how the aids effect the horse, and beginning riders and newcomers will all benefit greatly.
What problems does it solve?
Horses that are confused or sour often are overwhelmed by confusing or conflicting aids. If your horse has trouble learning new things or isn’t as responsive as you’d like, this class will help! Also great for building rider balance and confidence, and understanding equipment and communication.
Details: You do not bring your horse to Seat Builder, just bring your tack. Dress in comfortable weather-appropriate clothing or your riding clothes. Seat Builder is a prerequisite for Advancing Communication.
