Focus Words for 2016

My 2015 Vision Board

A new year, a fresh start, a renewed vision!!  It’s hard to believe it’s January 2016!  My how time flies!

Last year my focus words were Gratitude and Grace with Humor, and I’d have to say they have served me well.  Gratitude is now a part of my mindset and has made all the difference!  For the year ahead my focus words are Alignment & Harmony.  In horses, alignment is very important and I can often overlook this.  In life, I hope this will guide me towards balance and order in my work, health, and horses.  Going together is a vision I have for my horse work and for my life so Harmony seemed the best word for this.

I hope you will take a few minutes to think about a word or two that might guide you into the new year both with your horses and in your life!  If you are looking for inspiration, we will be having a Create a Vision Board Session on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 6pm.  For me, a Vision Board is a very useful tool that inspires, encourages and reminds me throughout the year.  Join us for this fun evening and make 2016 your best year yet!! Sign up here!

I did it! Ozzie and I published!

I did it!  I finally published the story of Ozzie, the horse that changed everything for me!  Ozzie was with me for more than 25 years and is the reason I study horsemanship!  Many of you have met Ozzie, who passed away a year ago.  But few of you know about our early days together.  Ozzie was a challenging horse with a big personality, and I was madly in love with him, even though he was not suitable for me at all.  He would push me and cause chaos wherever he went in his early days.  Thanks to him, I sought out help from a friend who lead me to the path of horsemanship!  And I have never looked back!
