Are you looking for the ultimate connection with your horse? Liberty is the art and science of working with your horse loose in a round pen or arena. Learn how to lead your horse without a halter or lead rope and send your horse over a jump and lots more.
Each participant gets individual time with Julie to work with their horse.
Discover the fun of directing a horse at liberty (while he is loose in a round pen or small arena) and prepare for the AHA Challenge Liberty Phase.
A general overview of liberty work will be covered and participants will each have a half hour session with their horse in the round pen with coaching. You will get exercises to take home to advance your work.
We will cover the basic maneuvers of weaving cones, crossing poles, backing, sending in circles and figure 8’s.
Who is it for? Adults of all levels and disciplines, including young horses or beginning riders/horse handlers. If you don’t own a horse and you would like to participate, please contact us for the option to borrow a horse or audit. You can learn a bunch from a horse that knows liberty well!
